Visit artist Meg Miller’s Studio and Gallery at A’Chuibheall in Torrin. https://www.megmiller.co.uk/home Meg’s is the timber house on the left hand side just before the cattle grid if you are walking up the road towards the turning for Torrin Beach (see 4. above). 12. Walk on the sandy beach at Ashaig. Great for dogs, but also for humans. Views over to Pabay, Scalpay, Loch Carron and down to the Skye Bridge. Take the A87 out of Broadford back towards the Skye Bridge, through Harrapool and Upper Breakish. Immediately before the second narrow bridge (with an Ashaig sign on it) turn left marked Lower Breakish 1 (mile). After a few hundred yards, where the road bends to the left (towards Lower Breakish) turn right towards the beach (feels more like straight on). Park up before the road runs out. Short walk to the expansive beach. If the burn is in full spate, there is a bridge.
13. Short but slightly scary walk to The Spar Cave, in Glasnakille near Elgol. You can only access at low tide and you need head torches. Worth the effort though: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/skye/sparcave.shtml
14. Climb Beinn na Cro in Torrin. Start at the bridge at the head of Loch Slapin. Allow 2-3 hours. It’s an unassuming pinnacle, but on a clear day you get amazing views over Southern Skye and the Cuillin as well as to Rum in the west and the mainland to the east. A great value climb if you don’t have a lot of time. https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/skye/beinnnacro.shtml
